Privacy policy

Masteriva is a voice practice app: you talk with an AI practice partner and get coaching. This page explains what we collect, why, who processes it, and how to delete it.

What we collect

• Your account: email address, first name, a hashed password (we never see it in plain text), your team, reminder time and daily target.
• Practice calls: while a call is live, your microphone audio streams through our server to our speech provider. We don't store audio recordings. We keep the transcript, timings (how long each side talked, reply delays, pauses after your questions), the scorecard or coaching summary, and your coaching notes and skill progress.
• What you add: documents you upload (we keep their extracted text and a summary, not the file), your offer and target role profiles, interview stories, real-call reviews, next steps and the real-world numbers you log.
• In-app notifications we create for you. If you turn on browser notifications, the permission is stored by your browser, not by us.

How we use it

Only to run Masteriva for you: hold the practice conversation, score and coach it, write your daily units, track your progress, and send the reminders you ask for. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.

Who processes it

• Deepgram turns your speech into text and voices your practice partner during a call. We opt out of Deepgram's model improvement program.
• OpenAI or Anthropic (whichever the service is configured to use) receives transcripts and the text you add (profiles, document text, stories) to write scorecards, summaries and units, under their API terms.
• Amazon Web Services hosts our server and database.
• An email provider delivers reminder emails, if you turn them on.
• Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and scripts from public code networks (cdn.tailwindcss.com, unpkg.com), which see your IP address when they serve those files.

Your team

If you joined through a team, the team owner can see your practice scorecards, scores and activity on the team dashboard. Documents you choose to share are visible to your team.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to keep you logged in and to protect forms (a session cookie and a CSRF cookie).

How long we keep it, and deleting it

We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete your account and all its data at any time in Settings; here's how, and what happens. Deletion from the live database is immediate. Nightly backups are kept for 14 days, then overwritten.

Children

Masteriva isn't intended for anyone under 16.
